Additional learning support
At our school, we ensure every student is ready to learn. We support students with additional learning needs to participate successfully in all areas of school life. Support can begin at any stage of school.
Support that fits your child's needs
Some students need extra support to feel successful at school. We work in partnership with families to develop support plans and adjustments that suit each individual's needs.
Additional learning support can include:
- teachers and support staff working together with students and families
- small group tutoring to provide targeted literacy and numeracy support
-
programs to support high potential and gifted students
-
regular check-ins to review and update the planned supports
-
supportive classrooms utilising
- assistive technology
- instructional resources
- flexible workspaces and more
-
differentiated teaching and learning programs to support all learners
-
assessment adjustments
-
specialist support for students learning English as an additional language or dialect (EAL/D)
Adjustments are planned with parents and carers. They are reviewed regularly and adapted as required. If you think your child may need extra help, contact us.
